The foundations here are exactly what my younger two needed, and the order the topics come in builds up really logically. My only note is that the pace felt a touch quick between a couple of the later sections, so we slowed down and redid a few on our own. Otherwise a strong, well-structured start.

Wish my school taught like this.
We started this over the summer to stop my son sliding backwards before the new school year, and it turned into the best thing we did all break. It rebuilds everything from number sense up, so even the stuff he thought he knew got a firmer footing. By September his teacher actually commented on how much more confidently he was putting his hand up in maths. The logical, one-step-at-a-time structure is what makes it work for a kid who gets overwhelmed easily.
Fractions were the wall my son kept hitting, and the way they're introduced here, starting from simple parts of a whole, made a huge difference. He finally stopped seeing the top and bottom numbers as random. Really solid explanations all the way through.
Made the basics finally make sense.
I like that it starts right at the beginning and builds up properly instead of assuming prior knowledge.
