About this course

Many children and adults struggle with foundational math concepts, leading to anxiety and frustration. This course provides clear, structured explanations of core mathematical principles, ensuring a strong conceptual base for future learning. You will gain the skills to confidently approach arithmetic and simple problem-solving techniques. What you'll learn: * Understand the principles of place value and number systems conceptually, rather than through rote memorization. * Practice efficient mental math strategies for rapid addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. * Apply written procedures for multi-digit arithmetic operations with clarity and accuracy. * Learn to interpret and solve word problems by breaking down complex language into mathematical steps. * Identify basic geometric shapes, measurements, and simple data representation like charts and graphs. The course begins with foundational terminology and number concepts, progressing through the four core arithmetic operations. Practical examples and written exercises reinforce each new skill. This course is designed for absolute beginners, including parents, tutors, and older students seeking to solidify their understanding of elementary mathematics (ages 6-12 level). No prior math knowledge is required. Start building a strong mathematical foundation today.

The foundations here are exactly what my younger two needed, and the order the topics come in builds up really logically. My only note is that the pace felt a touch quick between a couple of the later sections, so we slowed down and redid a few on our own. Otherwise a strong, well-structured start.

Wish my school taught like this.

We started this over the summer to stop my son sliding backwards before the new school year, and it turned into the best thing we did all break. It rebuilds everything from number sense up, so even the stuff he thought he knew got a firmer footing. By September his teacher actually commented on how much more confidently he was putting his hand up in maths. The logical, one-step-at-a-time structure is what makes it work for a kid who gets overwhelmed easily.

Fractions were the wall my son kept hitting, and the way they're introduced here, starting from simple parts of a whole, made a huge difference. He finally stopped seeing the top and bottom numbers as random. Really solid explanations all the way through.

Made the basics finally make sense.

I like that it starts right at the beginning and builds up properly instead of assuming prior knowledge.
