About this course

Understanding body language conceptually and being able to use it intentionally are different skills. The second requires deliberate practice: observing real interactions, noticing your own habits, and testing specific changes in low-stakes situations before applying them where it matters. This workbook provides that structured practice. By the end of this course you will be able to complete a personal non-verbal habits audit, practice specific eye contact and proximity adjustments through written scenario exercises, apply a playfulness framework to conversation, and use a social cue observation log to develop your signal-reading accuracy. What you will learn: - A personal non-verbal habits audit that identifies your current defaults across each major body language channel - Guided exercises for practicing sustained, natural eye contact in a variety of scenarios - A proximity comfort awareness exercise that maps your current default and how it is likely being read - Scenario-based practice for initiating and sustaining playful conversational exchanges - A mirroring exercise that builds rapport-building awareness through systematic observation - A social cue log for tracking observations of interest and disinterest signals in real interactions - A touch appropriateness framework: context, escalation, and consent awareness - A self-assessment after social interactions: what non-verbal choices you made, what you noticed from the other person, and what to adjust next time The workbook is organized in three phases: audit, practice, and observation. The audit phase helps you understand your current non-verbal defaults — most people have never examined these systematically — and identify one or two areas most worth developing. The practice phase provides structured exercises for each major channel, moving from individual exercises (practiced alone with reflection) to scenario exercises (applied in low-stakes real interactions). The observation phase provides tools for becoming a better reader of others' non-verbal signals, developing the interpretive accuracy that is the other half of effective flirting. Each section is self-contained and includes reflection prompts calibrated to the specific skill being developed. This course is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their non-verbal social skills in dating and attraction contexts. No prior background is required. This course is educational and does not substitute for professional coaching.
